Fifty-eight days left of George W. Bush... the "unprecedented times."

*

After midnight post once again... sorry, bad me.
So pretend it's still Sunday though it's really early Monday morning.

I really don't like Hank Paulson. He said in an NPR interview when asked
"I gotta tell you, I think our major institutions have been stabilized. I believe that very strongly."
Give me a break.
What about CitiBank now looking for their piece of the bailout windfall?
Seems everybody wants some of the corporate socialism, um welfare...

Auto industry: Seriously should we give Chrysler money a second time?
Is it our fault they never foresaw the need to upgrade, retool and face the future?
How about GM or Ford? What a mess.

Apparently us middleclass taxpayers are wealthier than we think we are. So why does it feel like we're swimming upstream into a waterfall? Because, of course, we don't actually have it at all, we're borrowing it from... well, not really sure exactly where are we?

I can't help wondering McCain wishes on some level that he could put the Palin genie back into the bottle?
We'll never know for sure!

Tomorrow I"m back to my more normal routine at least until Wednesday.
Then it's holiday stress, err, um, fun that is, yup that's the ticket.

Reviewing the Bush Midnight Regulations.
Talk tomorrow.

G'night,

Laura
