Sixteen days to E-Day... get out the vote must get out and vote!!!

*

I think the cultural issues in this country are almost more important than the political issues to some voters.

The country is more centrist and moderate than the people that are at war on both political extremes.
There are some fringe people on both ends but the republican tact to cater to that extreme political and religious base was a clear mistake. American's are more to the center.
McCain might have stood a chance with the rest of us if he stayed the John McCain that both sides respected.

Obama is the more positive candidate now and people don't need more blatant negativity.
We're not naive, we expect negative ads but not brutal or nasty ads.
We are intelligent enough to see the difference.

So Colin Powell endorsed Barack Obama. Not exactly a huge surprise but important support.

McCain has lost many of the more moderate or centrist republicans.
While McCain might have energized the very conservative base of the party by picking Sarah Palin he began alienating the large more central part of the party.

Sarah Palin has yet to give a press conference with questions from the press.
More microphones have been thrust in the face of Joe the plumber than the Sarah the Vice Presidential candidate.

This whole election has been astounding.

Saw the clip of SNL with Palin. Not that exciting or great, but I suppose brave on her part.
Poor Tina Fey might be out of her successful "second" job soon.

Settled down a little bit from yesterday but still very upset over ACORN being set up to delegitimize the election if Obama is elected. That is the strategy there's really no doubt, it's even set up before the election even happens.
If we can heal this rift that was deliberately created in our country it won't be an easy task.

Am I wrong in worrying that the same type of people that shot doctor's for performing legal abortions are energized against Obama? I find this type of campaign repugnant.

I said yesterday that I was sick of this whole presidential pissing contest... that's not exactly what I mean.
I now want to rephrase it to I'm tired of the presidential candidates pissing at each other.

Have a great day,
Little cold here in NY but beautiful fall day.
Probably going fishing.

G'day then
unless something happens to bring me back
and the way things are going who knows by this evening.
