Twenty-eight days until E-day... McCain and Obama debate # 2

*

Good lord I'm not sure if I can stand more of this presidential race.
Nothing really startlingly new, nothing that hasn't been discussed in other forums.
No real answers to the country's problems. Though there are some ideas for improvement.
This is so discouraging.

Still won't vote for McCain especially since he chose Palin as his running mate, just won't happen.

Maybe we could get all our questions answered in writing and posted on the internet because we aren't going to get spoken answers to the things that are important to us. Sick of hearing talking points. Tell us why your program will work better.
Sick of this whole thing. I wonder how I'll feel in two more weeks...

I think Obama definitely won but neither one is realistic. With this economic crisis most of the grand plans will be placed on the back burner. They both seem to be a bit delusional about that.

Couldn't some one just honestly say:
Look this is going to be some pretty tough times ahead and we'll all need to sacrifice some things... we must come together as a nation, and face this uncertainty in unity. We will prevail.
God, would it kill someone to act like a leader? Could we get an enthusiastic visionary, would it be possible?

I liked Obama's more presidential style, McCain seemed out of breath and a little off his normal irritable game.
And what was with McCain saying derisively "That one" what the hell does that mean?

McCain gave up calling himself a maverick and a POW repetitively and tonight states over and over that we are his "friends."

"My friends, my friend, my friends..." lost count. He sure likes to state and restate the same things.
Loses effectiveness when you do that.
I all ready can see the McCain/Obama SNL parody... using that phrase over and over.

Again I don't think that this was a game changer for either candidate.
So in that respect it probably was a good night for Barack Obama.
But seriously I don't really feel any better than I did before tonight.

Should have known better.

Need sustenance... food and drink. Forgot to eat dinner.
Made a huge pot of homemade chicken-veggie-noodle soup and it smells so very yummy.
Catch up with everyone tomorrow.

G'night
Pleasant dreams
(of anything except politics)

Laura
